Brief: To embellish an entertainment venue in a former department store. There was two concepts of ‘Tokyo’ and ‘New York’ which needed to come through in the interior design of the space, whilst incorporating the entertainment elements such as Go Karts, bowling, crazy golf and bars.

This was more of a set design project, as it mainly involved creating scenes that embodied the spirit of Tokyo or New York. We built the concepts with the client, so that the design ideas could be rolled out to other venues in the future. Many of the layers of texture were created in conjunction with amazing scenic artists. The largest feature of this project was a triple height wall made to look like a road. We worked with an artist to create ultra light versions of the go karts to be mounted on the wall. We then played with different graphics, cones and street lighting to create an abstracted Tokyo road artwork.
